The Long Trip
Tour Western Brook Gorge, Gros Morne and the Tablelands.
The long trip is a one-hour air tour of the area including Western Brook Gorge, Gros Morne Mountain, the unique Tablelands and Green Gardens. We will leave from Parson’s Pond and will return flying over Woody Point and Norris Point. This air tour is limited to three passengers.
Two of the ocean currents which have an effect on Newfoundland and Labrador’s climate are the Gulf Stream Current and the North Atlantic Current. Icebergs from the Arctic Circle follow a path of the North Atlantic Current, which brings them along the coastline of North eastern Newfoundland through a part of the ocean referred to as Iceberg Alley.
Grosmorne Flights will bring you across the Northern Peninsula to the North Eastern Coast of Newfoundland and along Iceberg Alley in search of icebergs.
